Responsible production is about using resources with care. This includes raw materials, packaging, production processes, energy and climate-related data where relevant.
Examples of our initiatives:
From 2023 to 2024, one of our factory in Esbjerg reduced its plastic use by 14,196 kg as part of our work to reduce material consumption and improve the recyclability of our packaging.
Solar panels at Polar Seafood Denmark form part of our energy-related initiatives. Their contribution can be documented through data on electricity production.
Residual fish from selected Danish operations is supplied to a zoo rather than being discarded.
We are exploring possible uses for shrimp shells as part of our work to improve raw material utilisation.
