From catch to final product, Polar Seafood controls every step of the value chain through our own trawler fleet, processing facilities, freezing capacity, and distribution. This ensures consistent quality, full traceability, and a reliable supply for our customers.
Polar Seafood harvest a wide range of Arctic species, including Greenland halibut, cold-water prawns, snow crab, pelagic species, and cod.
With respect for the ocean’s resources, we follow certified fishing practices and operate within scientifically based quotas. Where applicable, our fisheries are MSC-certified, supporting healthy stocks and long-term availability of Arctic species.
Food Safety & Quality
Food safety, traceability and food quality are top priorities at Polar Seafood. Our foremost task is to ensure that our products meet our high standards in both quality and food safety. Our quality management system has been established in accordance with the HACCP principles which encompass our own stringent control system. All this ensures the high quality of our products.
We strive to transfer the natural sustainability from the old Greenlandic communities to the modern, industrialized fishery of today. A big part of our responsibility is to ensure the fisheries for future generations and to contribute to and uplift the local communities.
