Redfish

The redfish (Sebastes mentella and/or Sebastes marinus) is an Arctic fish found in the northeast and Northwest Atlantic oceans. We process and freeze it immediately after catch, ensuring excellent freshness and firm meat.

Widely distributed

The redfish is widely distributed in the North Atlantic Ocean, and the stock is shared between Greenland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. It is found at various depths between 50 and 1,000 meters, often near the slopes of banks. The fish is caught using the pelagic trawl method, which helps minimize damage to the seabed.

Uniquely red

The redfish is easily recognized by its red colour and large eyes. Due to the low temperatures, its growth rate is slow, resulting in firm, reddish meat with an excellent flavour. The fish is low in fat, high in protein, and suitable for a wide range of cooking methods, including poaching and grilling.
