Polar Seafood was established in 1984 with strong roots in Greenland and operated as a sales and marketing company for a number of independently owned Greenlandic prawn trawlers. The company has continued to grow and develop and is today an international business with more than 40 years of experience, its own trawlers, factories and cold stores. History and cultural heritage remain an integral part of everyday life in the company, which from the beginning has focused on responsible fishing and creating value for both local communities and international markets. All of this has ensured a long-term approach to high quality and partnerships.

From catching and throughout the production process, each step undergoes extensive, documented quality control and hygiene checks, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality. 

Polar Seafood has a strong international presence with exports to a wide range of markets worldwide. Our products reach customers in Europe, Asia and North America, supported by a network of factories and sales offices that ensure efficient distribution, local adaptation and long-term partnerships with customers. Complementing the central sales office in Vodskov, Denmark, Polar Seafood has established sales offices in several countries.
